Boston, Massachusetts – 5 November 1868. Vote With Your Feet protest and antiwar march in Boston, organized by SDS, the Massachusetts Mobilization, and New England Resistance. SDS organized contingents beginning on Cambridge Common and at Boston University to march to a rally on Boston Common to urge people not to vote in the election. Protesters walking from BU to Boston Common, one fo whom carries a sign that reads “Strike on Nov 5th Protest Elections Farce.” In the center of the image is Robert McCabe, associate professor of mathematics at SMTI (now U Mass Dartmouth.)
