2023 Polar Bear Plunge at Coney Island, New York, USA

Brooklyn, NY - 1 January 2023. Thousands of bathers and spectators showed up on a sunny and warm New Year’s Day for the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Coney Island, sponsored by the Alliance for Coney Island. 45 minutes after the start of the plunge, the registration line extended two blocks, up Stillwell Avenue, and along Surf Avenue to West 12th Street.
