Irish-American contingents kicked off New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade to the tunes of numerous pipe bands, and cheered on by throngs of spectators, many bedecked in green. The 343 Honor Company, with flag bearers carrying a flag for each of the 343 firefighters who died in the Twin Towers on September 1, 2001.
