The Contemporary African Art Fair opened in New York, with galleries from around the world. 110 Galerie Veronique Rieffel, which showed the work of Clay Apenouvon from Togo, whose work was made of black plastic packaging and scraps of mylar survival blankets and which featured boxer Mohammed Ali, formerly Cassius Clay, and after whom the artist was named.
