Flotsam and jetsam on Glas Bottle Beach at Brooklyn's Dead Horse Bay, now in the National Gateway Recreational Area. Once a site for plants that rendered horse carcases into glue, the area was used as a landfill into the 1930, then capped. The cap burst in the 1950s, and pieces of old trash still wash out.
